Central Cabinet approval for the government, maternity benefit program, to give 6 thousand rupees to pregnant women

The Central Government has approved the Maternity Benefit Program. Under this, a mother giving birth to a pregnant mother or baby in the country will be given 6000 rupees. But this scheme will be for the first child only. In a way, the government has reduced its profit, because during the pilot project, the benefit of this scheme was being given on the birth of two children.
Giving information about cabinet decisions after the Cabinet meeting, Power Minister Piyush Goyal said on Wednesday that the mother who gave birth to a pregnant or child, would be given Rs 6000 in the first child situation. Of these, Rs. 5000 will be given by the Ministry of Women and Child Development in three installments.

How will be paid
Pregnant and lactating women will be entitled to a cash of Rs. 5000 in three installments. This amount will be directly invested by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. A woman will get 1000 rupees on the registration of pregnancy.

2000 rupees will be given after the first prenatal screening (six months after birth) and after 2000 birth registration, Rs 2000 will be given again. According to a government release, after the institutional delivery, the remaining amount will be given in line with the valid rules of maternity benefits under the existing programs. In this way a woman will get an average of 6000 rupees.
